About the Programme
The Foundation in Science is a one-year, full-time preparatory programme designed for students who aspire to progress to undergraduate studies in science, healthcare, and related professional disciplines.
Rather than preparing graduates for immediate entry into a specific occupation, the programme equips students with the academic knowledge, scientific competencies, analytical skills, and study techniques required for success at degree level.
Students develop a strong foundation in the fundamental sciences through a balanced curriculum that integrates theoretical learning, laboratory practical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic skills.
Upon successful completion, students may progress to a wide range of undergraduate programmes in fields such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, medical imaging, optometry, occupational therapy, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical technology, cardiovascular technology, and other science and health-related disciplines, subject to the applicable entry requirements of the respective programmes.

Entry Requirement
LOCAL STUDENT
i. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ O-Level with minimum 5 credits in Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics, English, 2 Science subjects** and 1 other subject OR
ii. Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B in Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics
iii. Other equivalent qualifications
