About the Program

The Diploma in Pharmacy is designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in pharmacy support servuces and the broader healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

The programme equips students with the knowledge, technical skills, and professional competencies required to assist pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in promoting the safe, effective and rational use of medicines.

Students develop a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacy practice, medication dispensing, pharmaceutical calculations, medication management, quality assurance and patient care. The curriculum integrates classroom learning with laboratory practicals and supervised clinical or industrial training, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world healthcare and pharmaceutical settings.

Throughout the programme, students cultivate critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and professional ethics that are essential for contemporary pharmacy practice. Graduates are well prepared to contribute to pharmacy operations, medication management, pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality-related functions, and other areas within the healthcare sector.

Entry Requirement

LOCAL STUDENT

i. Pass in SPM with at least credit in any THREE (3) subjects including ONE (1) science subject

ii. Pass in O-Level with at least grade C in any THREE (3) subjects; including ONE (1) science subject;

iii. Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian goverment.
