24 April 2026 – IJN University College continues to strengthen practical education through immersive learning experiences for students in the Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Technology (BCVT) programme.
Recently, BCVT students participated in a hands-on animal heart surgery session held at the IJN Operating Theatre Simulation Laboratory. The session was conducted by Mr. Dilkumar Marimuthu, Head of Programme, under the Cardiovascular and Respiratory System subject.
This practical learning activity provided students with valuable exposure to real anatomical structures and cardiovascular functions beyond conventional classroom teaching. Through guided observation and supervised practice, students were able to deepen their understanding of the heart and its complex systems.
