IJN University College (IJNUC) has formalised a strategic partnership with Columbia Asia Hospital – Cheras through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing its commitment to advancing healthcare education through strong industry collaboration.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Emerita Dr. Durrishah Idrus, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of IJN University College, and witnessed by Mr. Helmi Daud, Registrar of IJNUC. Representing Columbia Asia Hospital – Cheras were Puan Engku Marina Binti Engku Hatim, Regional Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Sean Yoong Yik Xiang, Chief Operating Officer.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in strengthening academia–industry linkages, particularly in enhancing internship placements and employment opportunities for IJNUC’s Patient Care Assistant (PCA) students and graduates.
Through this collaboration, students will benefit from structured clinical exposure, gaining hands-on experience in real healthcare environments. This initiative aims to equip students with practical skills, professional competencies, and industry-relevant knowledge that align with current healthcare standards.
The collaboration also supports IJNUC’s mission to produce competent, industry-ready healthcare professionals who are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.
