IJN University College recently organised a meaningful programme titled “Mindfulness in Ramadan: Emotional Management and Mental Well-Being”, aimed at promoting emotional awareness and mental wellness among students and staff during the holy month of Ramadan.
Held on 10 March 2026 at the Auditorium, Level 13, the programme was organised by the Counselling Unit in collaboration with the Student Development Division (SDD), IJN University College. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to supporting the holistic well-being of its academic community, particularly in managing emotional health and maintaining mental balance during Ramadan.
The session was delivered by Megat Faris Irfan Megat Khairuddin from the National Centre of Excellence for Mental Health (NCEMH). During the session, participants gained valuable insights into emotional management, mindfulness practices, and strategies to maintain positive mental well-being while balancing academic, professional, and personal responsibilities.
Through interactive sharing and practical guidance, the programme encouraged participants to develop greater self-awareness and emotional resilience. The session also highlighted the importance of mental health, particularly during Ramadan, when individuals are encouraged to reflect, practice patience, and strengthen both spiritual and emotional well-being.
Programmes such as this demonstrate IJN University College’s continuous efforts to create a supportive learning environment that prioritises not only academic excellence but also the mental and emotional well-being of its community.
IJN University College extends its appreciation to the speaker, organisers, and participants who contributed to the success of this programme. It is hoped that the knowledge and insights shared will continue to benefit students and staff in maintaining healthy emotional and mental well-being.
