The Pharmacy Club of IJN University College successfully organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program at the Mahmudah Care Center, Semenyih. This initiative reflects IJN University College’s ongoing commitment to developing not only skilled healthcare professionals but also compassionate individuals who contribute positively to society.
A total of five Diploma in Pharmacy students and three lecturers were actively involved in the program. Among the lecturers present were Dr. Noreen Ang Azlan, serving as the Know Your Medicine Ambassador, and Cik Shahirah, who accompanied as a lecturer escort.
Program Highlights
The CSR activities were designed to benefit the residents of the care center and included:
- Health Talk on Medicine Awareness – providing essential knowledge about proper medication usage.
- Home Medication Review (HMR) – educating participants on correct medication intake and dietary practices.
- Recreational Activities – including interactive games such as snake and checkers to foster engagement and joy.
Commitment to Community Care
This CSR program is a testament to IJN University College’s vision of producing graduates who excel academically while remaining deeply rooted in community service. By engaging in such initiatives, students gain hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of healthcare beyond the classroom.
