PharmaCare Community Outreach by Pharmacy Club IJN University College at Rahoma Darul Fakir

On 23 August 2025, the Pharmacy Club of IJN University College successfully organized PharmaCare: Community Outreach Program at Rahoma Darul Fakir in collaboration with Ampang Hospital. This initiative was designed to raise awareness on healthcare practices and provide educational support to the local community.

A total of 20 Diploma in Pharmacy students together with 5 lecturers from IJN University College actively participated in this meaningful program. Their involvement reflects the strong commitment of the institution to community service, healthcare awareness, and experiential learning for students.

Activities and Highlights

The PharmaCare program featured a variety of interactive and informative activities, including:

  • Health talks on personal hygiene, the proper use of antibiotics, and prevention and treatment of head lice.
  • Educational games, such as Giant Snake Checkers, to make health learning fun and engaging.
  • Compounding of Vitamin B to demonstrate pharmaceutical practices.
  • Hands-on teaching on safe drug preparation and proper methods of administering medication.

These activities not only benefitted the residents of Rahoma Darul Fakir but also provided pharmacy students with valuable exposure to real-world healthcare engagement.

Commitment to Healthcare Education and Community Service

Through this program, IJN University College continues to emphasize the importance of healthcare education, professional development, and community outreach. Collaborations with institutions such as Ampang Hospital strengthen the impact of these initiatives, creating a bridge between academic learning and societal needs.
