Kuala Lumpur, 15 August 2025 – IJN University College successfully organized an engaging and inspiring forum titled “Transformasi Minda Merdeka” at its Auditorium, Level 13. The event brought together over 150 students to hear from two outstanding speakers who shared their journeys of perseverance, innovation, and breaking barriers.
The forum featured two remarkable panelists:
- Dr. Ruzimi Mohamed – Recognized as a UTM OKU Icon and Tokoh OKU Negeri Johor, Dr. Ruzimi is a System & Application Developer of Augmented Reality (AR) for children’s learning assistance. Beyond his professional expertise, he is also a respected motivator and entrepreneur, inspiring others with his contributions to technology and community development.
- Azim Afif Ishak – Author of Conquering Everest: Do or Die Mission, Azim is best known for his extraordinary achievement of climbing Mount Everest while pursuing his studies at UTM. His courage extended beyond the summit as he also participated in the Search and Rescue (SAR) operation for Muhammad Hawari, a hearing-impaired climber reported missing in May 2023.
Throughout the session, both speakers shared how they “freed” their minds to overcome challenges, turning limitations into strengths and obstacles into opportunities. Their powerful stories encouraged IJN University College students to embrace resilience, creativity, and independence of thought in their own academic and personal journeys.
